    Richard

Originally from Beddau, an English-speaking town near Pontypridd.

Historically, my family came from all over West and North Wales in search of work (coal mining) and subsequently dropped the language due to teasing and all the bigotry of the time. I’ve been trying since I was a child to speak Welsh.

My vocabulary and understanding of spoken and written Welsh is reasonable (I think singing in school choirs helped), but I still have difficulty constructing sentences both written and oral. Now living in Australia and was sick of listening to music on the drive to work, hence the reignition of learning the language. Oh, and I breed Welsh ponies, so I’m always looking for name suggestions!
